It is a bit difficult to accurately describe our feelings about adoption. These feelings are very real, very deep and very strong. The few words that would overall sum up our feelings would have to be Gratitude, Admiration, Love, & Hope. We are overwhelmingly grateful for anyone who is considering placing their child for adoption. We are also grateful to others who have paved the wave before us to turn adoption into something positive full of love and family.
We absolutely admire anyone who is willing to be so Selfless and to Sacrifice their own wants and needs to do what they feel is best for their child. We simply cannot comprehend the difficulty and the complexity of the decision that a birth mother and father must face. We are sure it is an internal battle and one that simply does not end by signing paperwork. It is a life long choice. A choice made out of Courage, Strength and Love.
We know that a parent does not "give up" their child. They place their child in the arms of another and trust those people to care for and provide for their sweet baby whom they love dearly. We are fully committed to upholding that trust, and to helping that courageous parent to give a wonderful gift to their child... a safe, supportive, positive environment, a loving and caring eternal family, and a chance for a happy and healthy future full of promise.
We cannot understand the hardship that a birth parent must feel in making such a difficult choice. We have not been in that situation, so we cannot say that we know. But we do know what it feels like to lose a child. We promise any potential birth parent, that if they place a child with us, they will not truly lose anything. We believe than an open adoption can be such a blessing. We firmly believe that the more people that love a child, the more loved, the more successful and the more happy a child will be. We absolutely want our children to know about the great blessing adoption is, about how much their birth parents loved them, and how important they are to so many in this world.
Children are so special and so precious to us. Because of the hardships we have had to endure, we are beyond grateful for our many blessings. We have hope and we have faith that things happen for a reason. We believe that Heavenly Father has a plan for his children and that adoption can bring peace, joy and happiness to everyone involved in the process.
We want to build our family through adoption. This obviously means children, but truly we hope that the birth family will become part of our family as well. Adoption is a partnership and we are committed to that life long partnership. Any birth parent that places their child with us will forever hold a special place in our heart. We absolutely want them to feel welcome in our family and in our life. We will forever be indebted to any birth parent who is kind enough to give us the absolute greatest gift in the world. The thing that we desire above everything else.... a child.
